Grand Hôtel Dieu inauguration

Our Lyon video agency produced an after movie for the inauguration of Lyon’s Grand Hôtel Dieu.

On-the-spot filming and editing for the TETRO agency, which produced and directed the event.

The large audience meant that the camera axes had to be carefully studied during rehearsals to ensure that the viewpoints were striking and accessible. This 3-camera shoot enabled us to cover all the works presented in this grandiose venue.

4 locations were highlighted. A dance theater show was on view for the arrival of spectators, followed by a classical concert illuminating the façade of the future intercontinental hotel. The public then moved on to a photo exhibition of the craftsmen involved in the renovation of the site. And finally, the courtyard at noon was the setting for the inaugural event, with speeches and dancing.

As the speech only takes place once during the evening, a precise brief and rehearsals were necessary to ensure that nothing was missed.

We used a variety of techniques to create the montage. First of all, the shows were set up as multi-camera installations, so that multiple angles of view could be selected to suit each moment. We then defined the general music for the film and shortened all the shows to create an overall atmosphere for the event.
